Is it a wax or a sealer?

You all can make a believer. I like to find a product that has this kind of belief and proof. This thread is too long to read it all and I know Zaino was discussed (I read the first 4 pages and the last 4). I used Zaino on a 2003 for a couple of years when it was new and then got lazy and it just became transportation and the last 10 years I had it - never touched it again with any product. It didn't bead water big time, but when I traded it - it still looked pretty good.

So only for those that have used both - Zaino and Collinite - are you sold on Collinite still? It seems it is a much simpler processes over time.

And regardless of which product - the clay bar is a lot of work. Do you still use it on a new truck and can you truly feel and or see a difference that it makes?

I used Zaino about 10 years ago before finding another site autogeek.com and thus finding better products, ex. backfire on my vette, that were a lot easier to use with just as good, sometimes better, results.

When I got my truck earlier this year I did clay it just to get all crap from sitting on dealer lot off of it and then applied collinite after seeing it so highly regarded on here as well as positive reviews on autogeek. It really does last quite a while and the water beading is excellent, I will continue to use it on my truck. I have gotten more than one compliment on the trucks shine with collinite as well which is pretty good considering it is white, not one of the more glamorous paint colors. Collinite is a great product, fair price and if used as directed will do quite a few wax jobs, I have done my truck twice and barely dented the bottle.

Saw autogeek.com mentioned earlier - will go do some reading there and buy some products. Will try the collinite probably as well as clay.

I have used clay in the past, and it does take some time. I found these on amazon about 6 months ago, and they work great. I like them much better than clay bars.

Amazon.com: Nanoskin (AS-017) AutoScrub Medium and Fine Grade Sponge Combo Pack: Automotive Amazon.com: Nanoskin (AS-017) AutoScrub Medium and Fine Grade Sponge Combo Pack: Automotive

I also used the lube

I use collinite 845, and I can tell you it's great. I have never used anything quite like it. I use it on my headlights and tail lights. I also use it on my windows now instead of rainx. I bought my collinite on ebay from this seller that was recommended to me by a close friend.

Well - since so many people speak of autogeek and they share a lot of good information on their site I just placed my order for Collinite and some other products. I don't think it breaks any rules if I mention they've got a pretty good sale going on right now - use the code eve25 (it's shown on their home page) and get 25% off your complete order and free shipping if you buy more than $75 worth. Some applicator pads, microfiber towels, a few other things and it adds up, but the sale was really nice.

Default Great info and products:

I've purchased all my truck love products from these guys: http://www.detailedimage.com/?gclid=...FZOCaQodweIFVQ, they have excellent info on the entire vehicle appearance care process, and many great products. Good service, and free shipping on your first order. See their Info Pages on the left side of their website.

A few quick comments:
-Toss out the chamois. Use a large waffle-cell microfiber cloth to dry a wet vehicle.
-Collinite metal polish does wonders for the chrome-clad wheels, especially if you drive in snow and salt. I'm sure you've seen a little corrosion on your wheels if they are 2013 or older.
-Liquid Glass is amazing on black paint, but Collinite lasts longer. Did a test on a buddies Tuxedo Black 2014 to confirm it.
-Apply the 845, wait a day Apply your wax. Wait a few days.... then wash it with a mild synthetic soap like Chemical Guys or Poor Boys car wash....USE THE BUBBLES as per instructions...dry with the micro fiber towel and you WILL be pleased and amazed.

I used the 845 as a follow up to Meguiars Plast-X on the gloss black plastic B pillar covers on my '15 and they look better than they did new.

I used Collinite 845 for the first time this past friday and I am so glad I bought the product. I didnt have to use much and worked so well. I have a white truck so for a noob to detailing like myself it was hard for me to know if I removed the wax after it dried. Truck feels and looks amazing though.
