Retired and loving it!

I've got the third coat on the entire truck to give it a good start and its gotten a LOT shinier with each subsequent application....I guess I've got "new truck-itis" as I KNOW it does not need three coats.....still, what a shine!

Finished clay barring and waxed my Lariat today with the 845. This stuff is incredible. Went on and came off so easily. Used it on rubber, glass, lights, everything. No stains and actually inproved the looks of the rubber. Looks incredible and the water rips off of my truck now. Counld not be happier about the process and results...
Thanks to all the posts...I have how thrown out all my other wax products!
Here are a few pics (more in my album)

As all of us in this thread are fans of the Collinite (thanks again sterlingone)....I had to share an experience I just had today.
This being the first day in months that the weathermen weren't calling for rain, I took the operatunity to detail the truck including applying a needed coat of 845. I had just finished buffing off the last of the wax when this guy in a BMW 845i rolled up jumped out and proceeded to offer a sales pitch stating that he's a auto detailer and could really make my truck shine and be protected from the elements, etc......
As we are standing there talking, he continues to highlight this "wax" product that goes on smooth and keep the rain off and as he begins to say the word Collinite....I interrupted him to look over at the bottle of 845 sitting on the tailgate.
He erupted in a OH DAMN moment, stating, "OH MAN, I'M THROUGH, YOU ALREADY KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!" "THIS MADE MY DAY!", "MY BROTHER FROM ANOTHER MOTHER!" Obviously happy to find someone else that new about this product.
He offered his card up with the collinite logo, but before he went on his way he talked about how he got turned on to this stuff while in Iraq and that hardly nobody in the area knows about this stuff.....I credited this forum and its members for educating me and we parted ways....nice to see others using it and well

This post made me curious. So, I went to auto geek and ordered some Stoners More Shine for tires, leather cleaner and conditioner, and the 845 magic potion Going to go give Grace a detail later. Waiting for sun to dip down a little.
I did a google search for the 845 and seen Advance Auto carried it. So I went locally first and spoke with the store manager. The employees had never heard of it. Anyway, as soon as I mentioned it, his eyes got big and said "that stuff must be amazing". He managed another store previously and had two detail shops order it through him and they SWORE by it. But he didn't stock it at this store.
Well see how it goes later. Already started with some foreplay. I named the truck Grace as it was bought on valentines day due to my wife giving me the nod.
I absolutely love my truck.
And the wife of course.

washed my truck yesterday with some mothers gold car wash, man does it look so good! it is about due for another claybar/polish/845 but not today. i must say this stuff is awesome. now if they only made a quick detail spray.
i put it on in may/juneish and all i have done is quick detailed it a couple times and washed it really good since then.

Meaner than ymeski56
I washed/clay barred and rewaxed mine last Friday before leaving for college and it looks great. I think as you do it more often it gets better because the first time it wasn't all that great on water beading up and rolling off but this time it was as I barely had to use my wipers when going through a storm. Great stuff and I agree about a quick detail spray too.

okay. I used it.
I am amazed. I used it from top to bottom including trim and glass. One thing I wasnt expecting is how BLACK it makes the trim. The stuff is slick. Now to see how long it lasts. It goes on and off easier than anything I have ever used.

Just curious as to why people use 845 on rubber, when Collinite explicitly states that using it on rubber is not recommended (on their website).
Has anyone ever inquired to see what the reason is behind that 'not recommended' statement? Could any of the petroleum-based chemicals in the wax harm the rubber?
I'm not implying that I have a clue why it would hurt rubber, but there has to be a good reason to say 'not recommended' even though the wax clearly makes rubber look great.
