Thanks for the research blackbetty. I also like to wash and spray paint under a 4wd so when u look at it from the side it looks shinny black all along the frame and axles. Makes it much nicer to crawl under too.

I know this is an old post, but with the winter months starting up, and the deicing trucks revvin up, there's some good info on this site about "winterizing" the outside of your vehicle...just FYI. Thanks for posting this blackbetty!

I'm trying to figure out the best way to get the wax out of my trim left by the dealer when they detailed my truck when I got it. I see white in the grey fender flares... I've heard of using a tooth brush.... any other good ideas that work... only got 2012 miles on it!!

The best product I have used to remove left over wax out of grained plastics is Meguiars #39. I am not sure if you can get it locally where you are, however, it is available online.
