I removed the little round mirrors that were on my side mirrors and had to use mineral spirits to remove the adhesive. After I wiped them down with a clean rag I noticed that the glass was totally clean no spots or residue swirl marks. Used it on the windshield and it looked brand new. It was a $4.00 bottle of generic brand from lowes.

on my windows i get a good foaming glass cleaner and use newspaper to wipe clean and it works awesome for me anyway!!
