Default Clay Bar "Mitt"

After reading a bunch of reviews I finally pulled the trigger on a Clay Bar Mitt.

If you're a clay bar guy I would highly recommend you give one of these a try. Claying time is reduced to about half the time the regular clay bar takes. Just soooo much easier to use/handle and will wash off if you drop it. Works every bit as well if not better than the bar/clay.

I've used it on my truck and two other cars in a weeks time and it seems that it will be able to do many more as advertised.

Wish I'd have discovered these a long time a go.

I may have to try one, I’ve seen Griots Garage advertises them all the time.

They work great! Just keep solvents away from them - a little bug remover left behind (even after rinsing with water) ate my first one. Also, keep them lubricated or you can leave a smear behind. It will come off but is a nuisance.

But like the OP stated, saves a TON of time. I detail my Solstice, Explorer and F150 with them and it keeps my right arm from falling off!

I can't say who makes the best one, only that if used properly they do work and make the job much easier. I used to cringe at the thought of clay barring, now it just doesn't seem like that big of a deal.

I also noticed that reading the reviews that when a negative one was posted you could tell (after having used one now) that it was operator error. They are as easy to use as following the simple instructions.

Just make sure to keep the area lubricated, otherwise you'll drap crap all over and scratch you paint up.

And rinse it frequently!

And remember to wax or use sealant after you clay!

ill have to give this a try, claying is one of the biggest reasons i neglected my truck for so long, it takes forever on a big vehicle like the screw.

I've looked at these before but the cost is making me hesitate. I'm concerned that debris is inevitably going to become embedded in the clay and when it does so in a bar I toss it and use a new one (actually half a bar at a time). With the mitt I can't just toss it at that price. Are you guys not concerned with embedded debris scratching your paint? I'm probably overthinking the whole thing.
