Some one came into O'reillys today and bought this stuff called simonz diamond wax or something like that( it has an electric sprayer on top) and he said that it works so badass on the entire car that if you are going 60 mph down the freeway and it is raining you really don't even need your wipers.

Thank the powers that be for that fluid. When we go to put in bay we have a tough time with the bugs.

first thing a person should do is if the vehicle has never been waxed polish it about at least 2 times and preferable 3. A good polish will run around 20 bucks a bottle. I personally use liquid glass. After you get 2 or 3 good polishes on it then wax it... Now if you have already waxed it you dont wanna polish it unless you take the wax off of it. Liquid glass also makes stuff to do that also. On my silverado i did this and then used a dupont wax with teflon in it... wow.. it was so shiny and soft that when it got dirty all i had to do was wait till it rained and the rain would wash the dirt off.. But for the most part i prefer meguiars.. they have been making great products for a long time. Just as soon as weather and temp permit I will be polishing my f150 and then waxing it.

I have been professionally detailing for about 10 yrs now on the side, and the best wax I have ever used is called Wolfgang Fuzion Estate Wax. I only use it on the expensive detailed vehicles (my pro detail service). I have only used it 9 times, all for 1 of my clients on all 4 of his cars (lambo, benz, hummer, and a lotus). This stuff is damned nice and is amazing. I have tried at least 200 waxes and this is far superior...but then again, at around $175 a can of wax, you would expect it to be...probably why he pays me $750 a car, to get the good stuff.

I'll eventually have to make a post on doing the perfect paint detailling....well, according to me, lol. It is amazing if you have a spare 8 hrs or so to just work on the exterior of your car.

Yeah whenever I detail my truck I usually am in it for 8-10 hours. Wife thinks I am OCD, but I just can't help myself. Of course it's been awhile since I've detailed her up really good. I have been busy doing other people's cars and neglecting my own. Hopefully after I move later this month I can dedicate some time to my truck.

Never tried it, but I have heard great things about Wolfgang products, but they are a little too rich for my blood.
