This new app is terrible.

-You can't click links in private messages
-you can't quote more than the previous message in a private message resulting in having to save a lot of messages in order to see the discussion
-You can't copy things in posts without doing a quote and then copying
-No advanced search feature

Are these fixes coming?

For certain security or compatibility reasons you have to move forward. Software is not a game where you can be in a place where you are always comfortable.

Its the app that sucks. We want the old app back. Design an app, make it secure , tweak it as time goes on. Simple.

The pop up as a question box in lower right corner is bothersome when you get logged off and try and sign on again, on my blackberry.

The app is here to stay. It gets updated and maintained by our owner company, Internet Brands. They have all of their forums on that app. It's got its fair share of nuances, but overall, I think it is one of the most functional apps I've used for forums.

I get you wanting to back the parent company but that's a stretch. There are fundamental issues with the app that needs to be addressed.

Pass it along if you like or don't. Either way just trying to provide my insight.

They're constantly working on it. Like I said, it's got issues, but it's (IMHO) much easier than Tapatalk.
