Why does the edit feature scramble everything up?

this editor has been a continuous work-in-progress for us because one bug fix seems to create another bug somewhere else totally unexpectedly...

This is still an issue btw. I’ve tried deleting it completely and reposting. Bullets, no bullets. It clumps everything up together if you try and edit an existing post. As a result I’m unable to update the 1/4 mile thread *cry*
