Default Probably already been suggested, but....

How bout a section just for the FX4 owners? You could also do a section for FX2 owners, Lariat owners, Platinum owners, Harley owners, Raptor owners(oh wait.....you already have that! Why are they so special?). It doesn't have to be year dependent, just a section for each body type

The simplest reason for this is clutter. Each generation has a section and aside from a few cosmetic differences, there's not much MAJOR difference between an XLT and a Platinum that would warrant having its own tech section for. Now... a Raptor shares MUCH less with the "normal" model line. There's different suspension, body parts, frames, etc.

If we added sections for each model, there'd be too many sections to police and too many sections for members to read thru.

Love the site, new FS/T rules are getting rediculous, are we actually having that many issues with people scamming others?

Yes.

Backstory in short- we had a member that hung around for a while, made some friends and actually contributed.

Fast forward to his access to the classifieds and he starts posting his items for sale. Members were paying him and after a while, not getting their goods.

We did some digging and found that he was using old pics from our classified section as well as from a couple other forums to pass of "his" stuff.

He ended up getting members here for $2500ish and publically gloated about it.

As for the rediculousness of the additional rule (singular) is something that's pretty much standard on all larger forums. We just finally decided we had reason enough to impliment it.

I understand that, however I also feel at no point should a forum be responsible for any for sale or trade deal gone wrong, and that point should be established blatently amongst the forums, its sad to see one jackass, I believe that term is well used here, ruins it for the rest of the members, because the post it note or paper added to photos is a pain in the *** to take a photo of, ie selling your truck and making a note big enough to make it visble, most of us members use our cell phone cameras which arnt poor resolution, but not capable of picking up the imaging on the paper. Not to mention, this is like the old saying, a lock only keep honost people honost, this newly implented rule, only applies to those whom are honost, and not capable of digitally editing an image good enough to be "passed". Myself as a mod, on a few other forums, unless its blatant-its a difficult thing to prove. And at that point, you open your self up to another can of worms. I understand how it can be effective at times, as I stated above, however again, there are big holes just like with any other plan. unfortuantly there is no fool proof way, how ever a good short, effective disclaimer would be defective, alot of listings in the past havnt provided photos, and had great success, I am sure there are others on the oppisite side of the spectrum, regardless of my thoughts, or other members thoughts, I dont expect this to go away, how ever it goes to show how vulnerable buying online really is. Really requires a large amount of trust. As long as we remain to keep the classifieds section alive, I cant complain an awful lot. As I have stated before, you guys do amazing work here with this forum, and I enjoy being part of the community, and a proud owner of a F-150. There are other less fortuante that call a Tundra home..or even worse a Ram...

I would like to see a post your pic,s sticky in the 09+ section.
With the 2011s out and the 2012 starting to hit the streets there is getting to be more and more single treads posting their trucks or asking people to post their trucks.
There is treads now posting Fx4/2s, Lariat's, Black out's, Serling Grey,s, Lifted trucks, etc.
If we had a one stop shop stickys pic's tread, like in the 97-03 it may cut down on single treads, and be easyer to find, rather than going through pages of treads to find what your looking for.

Thanks!
