Default the unsubscribe link doesn't work

Perhaps this is a known issue, but in the email notifications for subscribed posts, if you want to unsubscribe from an individual thread, the link in the email notification does no work. You must go to the thread on the site and unsubscribe with the subscribe button. A minor inconvenience but thought I would mention it.

So that we can investigate, please provide some additional information. What part of the process doesn't work? Is the link in the email simply not clickable? Does the link take you to an error message? If so, what is the error message? Or does the link seemingly work but not alter the subscription?

I am still unable to unsubscribe to threads via the link in the email.

An invalid threadid or forumid was specified.

I'm not aware of any known issues with the subscription system, which is fairly basic and has largely remained the same for the last several years.

I received an email notification for this thread. I used the Unsubscribe link that was found in the email. After clicking the Unsubscribe link, the Subscription removal notice was provided.

The next time this happens, please forward a copy of the email to me so that I can review the email and link.

Hi, I actually just tested this and it seems that it is only an issue when opening the link on a mobile device. It opens the mobile version of the website which then says "invalid thread id". If I open the same link on desktop it works correctly.

And if opened from Gmail app I get the following: "Invalid Redirect URL (android-app://com.google.android.gm/)"
