Default Drag Times (CIVIL conversation turned moral debate about street-racing)

Alright I know our trucks arn't designed to drag race but since I dont have a mustang anymore I plan on taking my truck at least once this summer to see how it does. I know there are 1/8 mile times posted around but has anyone ran their trucks in the 1/4 mile? Wondering if the speed limiter is going to ruin any times. If anyone has any times please post up, like to see what I can expect out of the 5.0

These numbers are from various pickuptrucks.com reviews - If you're going to make ANY mods to it, you're probably going to hit the limiter. In stock form, it's not quite bumping the limiter at the 1/4 mile mark.
Quarter mile times -
3.5 L - 14.67 seconds at 94.6 MPH
3.7 L - 15.87 seconds at 87.69 MPH
* Edit -
3.7 L - 16.18 seconds at 88.46 MPH - Found in another review in Pickuptrucks.com - this looks more realistic

5.0 L - 15.53 seconds at 92.85 MPH

zero-60 times
3.5 L 0-60 time - 6.82 seconds - SuperCrew
3.7 L 0-60 time - 9.08 seconds - SuperCab
5.0 L 0-60 time - 7.18 seconds - SuperCrew
6.2 L 0-60 time - 7.15 seconds - SuperCrew

Hummmm ... Interesting 5.0 times.

Just after purchasing my used 2009 Supercab STX 4x4 last fall I took it to a test-and-tune session at a local strip ( US-131 - Martin, MI ) to get a base-line.
  • bone stock 4.6L 3V
  • 3.55 RAR open
  • 5870Lbs *with driver and full tank of gas (36Gal)
Best ¼ mile time was 16.2. *Worst was 16.3.

Best ¼ mile MPH was 86.9.

Look at the ET vs the MPH. The 3.7L got out of the hole better, where as the 5.0L probably spun. (which I think is the case for the 3.5L, 5.0L, and the 6.2L in all comparisons).
