Is your truck tracking you?
I was watching CBS news this a.m. Sen Markey of MA was being interviewed about his concern that todays cars and trucks have too much intelligence which is used to track your 'coming and going'. That information can be retrieved at anytime by anyone with the proper equipment. Others expressed concern that our vehicles could be 'commondeered' and controlled by others while we are driving.
According to the interviewer, 16 auto manufacturers include that technologey but only 2 are actually engaged in tracking. Sorry, they did not name those companies.
The technology allows your truck to respond to a 'caller' or to call an info collector and you are never aware. Are you concerned that your privacy is being invaded by that beautiful truck sitting in your garage ? Is your truck cheating on you?
bwa hahahah !!!!

well my cell phone have gps, my g8 has onstar (even though it's not turned on), I have a sat radio. So I'm sure if I was bold enough to commit a crime I would be smart enough to ditch all that.

Since I'm regularly driving to illegal areas, speeding, disregarding road rules, and committing crime daily, this worries me. Maybe I should lose the cell phone, buy a horse and call it a day.
This is almost as funny as the GM guys in the forums ripping out on star. Hahaahahahahah

George Orwell was right, he just had the year wrong. Laugh all you want, the technology is in place. And everything Obama does, gets us one step closer.

ABC has picked up the story and said that each car has a unique ID number that can be "called" (NOT your phone, gps, sync, onstar, etc) and demonstrated the speaker accessing the reporter's car w/o any info from the reporter. He then proceeded to lock and unlock the door, turn on the windshield wipers and washers and said they can start/stop the engine. The equip req'd fit into a large brief case and uses wireless technology so can be used "anywhere" (I assume that means anywhere there is sufficient technology installed).
What is next???? Forget '1984' This is really cool stuff !!
