Default Your thoughts on extended warranty plans?

I came across this Warrentee web site
https://www.floodfordesp.com/esp_pla...ubmit=Continue

the prices are outstanding compared to a dealer. I know our trucks are Ford Tough But it’s nice to have protection for big cost items. Do you think this is better than MPP they try to sell you.?

My thoughts are there are tons of threads on this. Flood Ford and Zeigler are the most popular, are official Ford warranties, great deals, etc.

That's about it.

flood was the best price when I was shopping for new.
Just like my Polaris Touring atv, I think with all the electronic gadgets, the ESP is worth it.

Nothing is cheap to repair anymore. If you're of a mind that something will break after your factory warranty expires these plans are probably worth it. The closer you get one to your purchase date, the cheaper they are.

with who?
when I shopped for genuine Ford ESP all the plans were xxx miles minus original.

So a ten year plan is actually five

In addition to my Ford's 100K mile ESP, i've Geico's Mechanical Breakdown Insurance (MBI) on both my F150 and Jeep GC Trailhawk.
The MBI is almost bumper to bumper excluding the usual wear items with a $250 deductible, its about $35/year.
Geico honors MBI claims by dealerships and independent shops.
Why is it so cheap? Whats the catch? I think its because its only good as long as people stay with Geico.

Lets me sleep a little better at night.

If you should decide to go with the Ford ESP, I would recommend the first day rental option. That way you are guaranteed a vehicle when you drop off your vehicle, and I thought it was relatively cheap.

I already got the cost of the rental option back on both my F-150 and my wife's Edge. $100's of dollars worth.

Wouldn't have one of these trucks without it!
