Question Your First $1000 Bucks? Where'd you put it?

I'm a new member to the forum, loving it and all the interaction. I have browsed several threads from performance add-ons (CAI, TUNE, Exhaust) to visual add-ons (Tires, Rims, Lighting) and a'm wondering:

What did you spend your first grand on when you got your new truck?

Interested in hearing some responses, partly out of curiosity and partly cause I'm not sure what to do with my first $1000 on my own truck!

Thanks!

For my '79 first 1k went for new tank, tranny, drums all the way around, master cylinder, and steering knuckle. That was probably my first 1k for that truck.

Trailer brake controller, synthetic gear lube in rear end with a Mag-Hytech cover, Rampage Stirrup Steps, Amp bed step, new speakers, Weathertech Digitalfit floor mats front and rear, tow mirrors, pin striping...

That was all had for under $800 so I was right...

Tint, Intake, level, swap speakers, rinse repeat. I wouldn't go cheap on tires/wheels. Just my .02
