Your F150 Progression
How many have you owned? What model years? What do you wish your new one had that your old ones did?
As for me, I've owned a 93 xlt two toned regular cab, an 01 lariat extended cab, an 08 stx regular cab, and now a 14 stx screw.
Each had their own set of great traits, and if my wife would let me, I'd buy that 93 back. I loved the simplicity of that design with the green and white two tone paint. IMO, that was the perfect truck.
I love the heck out of my 14 and enjoy driving it every day. I literally can't wait to go to work just so I can ride in my new rig for an hour. The 14 is by far the smoothest riding truck I've owned. Even my mercedes driving dad was impressed.

My 1st F-150 was a 1983 2WD XL reg cab 8' bed. Bought new. It was red with the silver 2tone that ran down the middle of the truck sides. Typical 2tone application of the day. It had a 302 V8. Vinyl bench and vinyl floor. Good truck. I kept it for about 3-4 years.
Handful of Chevy/GMC's filled the following decade.
Next Ford was a 1997 F-150 short bed step side 4x4 Lariat. Yep, reg cab short bed w Lariat trim and leather bench seat. (Had the fold down center) it was white w/ silver lower 2tone. V8, I believe the 5.4. Loved that truck. It looked like a Tonka Toy.
Again, a few GM trucks
Then a 2002 F-150 crew cab short bed (5.5'). It was a FX4. All black w/ gray leather interior. V8 and all the bells & whistles. But black is a second job. So she only lasted a year.
More GM trucks
Next was a 2010 Screw. In silver. Small V8 (4.8 I believe). Gray cloth interior.
I honestly hated that truck and traded it within 3 months. The Screw rear doors are a pain in the azz. The forward leaning "active" headrests made the seating uncomfortable for me.
I did find this forum as a result. So, there's that.
I traded that truck on a new Tacoma 4x4 double cab. And another Tacoma in 2012.
Now I have THE finest truck I've ever owned in my near 40 years of truck ownership. And literally dozens of new trucks.
2014 King Ranch. 5.0 V8 Loaded with every option. Oxford white and pale adobe 2tone. Truck was factory ordered in March. I took delivery in late April.
I have clocked 4,000 miles in 2 months. And driving it is a pleasure.
Truth is: I would not have come back to Ford if they didn't change the headrests to the adjustable way they are now.
I'll add..,
There were a handful of new Corvettes...Harley's...Boats...and SUV's along the way.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

My 2014 XLT 5.0 is the first Ford pickup I have ever owned and so far I am really digging it. I can't believe how awesome it tows my trailer.
I am keeping it simple, did bed mat, bed cover, rugged ridge floor mats.
I plan to beef up the stereo and that is about all I plan to do. As things need replacing I may go with a better performance parts like with brake pads and so on.

Thanks for sharing y'all. Raider, I too, like to keep it simple. On my new rig, I've only added a bed mat and a truxedo tonneau cover. Other than that, I'm good. Thought about tinting the windows, but I like to keep it simple.

1955 F100 my dad and I rebuilt in 1970 we painted it lime green lol
had a couple of nissans and toyota sr5
1979 f100 regular cab 2x 8' bed, my move the cute college babes stuff truck it was dark green with wood side rails on the bed. man I miss that truck had a 6 cyl. motor and positive lock rear end...never got stuck in it.
another nissan while in the Navy
1990 f150 dark green think it was a extended cab with 6.5 bed leased 4x
1992 f150 two tone dark green and tourqoise ext. cab 6.5 bed, 4x4 leased then bought
1996 f150 Dark Green ext. cab, 4x4 6.5, bed
2006 f250 Gray 4x diesel
2012 F150 lariat screw, 4x4, 6.5 bed, 5.0 motor, platinum white tricoat with adobe stripe on the bottom.
Most all were xl or xlts until I bought the lariat, Thinking about putting wood side rails back on the lariat..miss that look and nobody does it much anymore.
Found a 55 a few weeks ago that was in good shape but alas I could not convince wifey that it was a good investment..lol

My first was an 94 f150 long bed, standard can with a 302 v8. It had the original shipping papers and owners manual and it was white, he would cruise comfortable at 70 and not use a drop of fuel. My second was a Burgundy and gold 2000 with a 351 v8, he has since pasted away. My 3Rd was a 76 it was gun barrel grey with a red stripe down the side and had black airbrushed detail with white airbrushed stars. It was my stepdads truck it was a 4x4. It had 302 v8, but he had modified the engine so much you couldn't call it a 302 anymore, he put a Manuel fuel regulator on it and you could go about 200 miles on a quarter tank.
