Issue: Is X-Plan pricing from OEM a good deal?

Certain buyers qualify for X-plan pricing on new Ford vehicle sales. It entitles the customer to a fixed markup or discount (depending on the plan you qualify for) on dealer’s invoice price plus any rebates offered at that time. Is it a good deal? The answer is sometimes yes and sometimes no. Other factors, such as available inventory, local competition, local demand for that model, can influence local car prices.

TennisFam4, a retired Ford employee, states
·Some dealers may not be showing you the real invoice in an effort to increase the sales price. The invoice the dealer should be showing you states the X-Plan prices at the bottom of the page.
·The potential savings are generally greater on higher priced vehicles, which typically have higher margins.

Easiest is if you have a Friend or Family member that's either a active employee or retired. I'm retired myself and i get 4 -X- Pins/year to give to friends and neighbors. I also get 4 -Z- Pins/year, which are for myself and selected family members of mine.

No, they are actually only good for a limited time from when they are activated.

You can also join Mustang Club of America, you can get a Pin right after you join

No, I believe they expire after one year.
