You can add an amp bed step for fairly cheap. I have one and it works great. Hands free and takes 2 seconds to flip down with your foot.

What constitutes "must have" varies and is completely up to the discretion of the buyer. For many truck buyers, 4WD is a 'must have' when deciding what vehicle to buy.

The question (as useless as it is) was posed as, would we buy that truck.

No 4WD is always a deal breaker for me. I won’t even consider a 2WD as my daily driver.

Yeah looking at the pic I don't see how that is particularly (or at all) useful for stepping into the bed with the tailgate down

Really? The bumper has like four inches you can step on with the tailgate down and that step sticks out further than the bumper. You can probably use that whole step with the tailgate down.

Why do you ask?

If you are considering buying this truck but concerned about resale...really, who cares about resale if it's a truck you like and plan on keeping it till the wheels fall off.

The step comes out to the side of the tailgate, not underneath. Very easy to get in and out of the bed. I have the OEM tailgate step as well, but only use it when camping. The bed step is much faster and more convenient.

If its a 5.0 and I might reconsider. Now it has 16 injectors instead of 8. It will cost more to maintain if keeping for the long haul.

I think most truck buyers would not want this model what do you think

I'm guessing the OP is not coming back.

Really, he didn't give near enough information to make an informed decision. The truck may have no tow package at all (dealer breaker for me even if not planning on towing), have 3.31 gears and an open rear differential.

I would NEVER buy a rear drive truck with an open diff unless I got it for thousands less and then put a limited slip in myself.
