I agree with you Nassty on that 100% from the factory especially this year with the upgrades the Ecoboost received. Even with minor mods intake, exhaust, tune the Ecoboost is a beast and no 5.0 or 2.7 with bolt ons is going to be quicker. But throw a Whipple, TVS 2.3 or even a Procharger on the V-8 and then the playing field is leveled plus the durability of the Coyote is already proven in numerous Mustangs at 600 AWHP for many miles. This is the number 1 reason i chose the 5.0 over the 3.5 plus i like the 5.0 sound too.

Get neither. If these are work trucks haul, tow, and have need for payload, get the 3.5 EcoBoost. It is the best for heavy work.

If the trucks are carrying light cargo, doing light work like newspaper delivery, satellite dish install, or meter reading, get the Naturally Aspirated 3.5, which has more horsepower than a 1990's 5.0.

Throw 6-8 grand in upgrades at a V8 truck and the playing field is leveled. Ok.

Well that got off topic. OP wants a work truck. He isn't throwing superchargers on them.

OP if you are in fact giving your employees supercharged 5.0s, please sign me up.
