Hey guys, so I'm planning on building a wooden bed box for my room mate's tuck beds. One drives a 94 Ranger with a topper, the other has a 98 Tacoma with a roll up bed cover.

For the Ranger I was thinking about a box that will sit right above the wheel wells with two long drawers that will pull out and be the length of the bed. I'll seal it or use some sort of epoxy paint with a bed rug over it.

On the Tacoma I'm gonna make a small box underneath the roll for the cover so it'll only be about 16 inches deep. The box will have two small pull out drawers just big enough for some tools.

Anyways! On to my question, has anyone every built a wooden box for a bed? Any pictures, tips or ticks would be greatly appreciated!

I'll post up my drawings, measurements, pictures etc. tomorrow. I'm gonna start on the project in about 2 weeks once winter break comes around, because I'm way too busy with work and school projects right now. I think this will be some good information for anyone looking to do something like this in the future.
