About the rims, if you're just picking up steelies for the winter make sure you're getting hub-centric rims and not lug-centric.

I do not have DM V1's on my F-150 I'm actually running Blizzak W965 E rated tires instead. These tires were bought new in 2008 and used every winter from 08-13 on my Grandfathers 2004 F-150 4x4. When he sold the truck i kept the wheels/tires for my use. They still have 70% tread and have held up GREAT even with more dry weather driving then i would like.

Dry roads will wear them quickly...we typically have snow pack/iced over roads in the winter so they last a while.

I have towed with my DM V1's on my Expedition and had no issues with them. Blizzaks are slightly louder then a normal all terrain or all season.

Thank you. My concern is them not lasting me 20k miles, because of the dry pavement they would see.. I think I'm going to try these anyways on my F150.

Well for some reason this website (https://jensentrailers.com/shop/truc...5-6x135-42p-87)is showing very expensive prices. My local aftermarket shop is selling the 4 steelies X47756 17x7.5 6x135 (I don't know the rest of the spec like offset etc) at 80 $ each so it's quite cheap.

I am just wondering if the X47756 are ok for F150 (spec, strong enough, etc)

I tried looking them up on your previous post. This part number goes with a Chevy Equinox as well. Not sure if that means the Equinox is the same bolt patter, or more likely, that these are universal 6-lug rims. Do you have a picture of them? Might be able to compare to a factory 17" rim picture.

Here is the one from the website, hopefully it's not a random picture:

X47756

here are the info I know:

The original ford rim AL3Z*1015*B is a 17x7.5 .x... .. .
The aftermarket X44756 above is a 17x17.5 6x135 .. . (last missing digits are offset and color I believe)

It seems close but I am missing digits...
also I hope it's strong enough to support the weight (even though I don't haul or tow much during winter).

I know I am picky but those winter gear doesn't come cheap + Some forum reader living up north might have the same issue

Anyhow, thx for your help, much appreciated.

When you call about them ask them if they are hub centric or lug centric. Our trucks have hub centric rims IIRC. If they're lug centric, I'd pass.

Edit** if they are for our trucks they should support the weight just fine. I wouldn't be worried about that part of it.

Hi everyone

Just closing the tread and giving my feedback.

I finally bought the following combination:
X47485 steelies 17x7.5, 6-135 Hub centric
& Michelin Xice2 265/70R17

Combination works great so far

Thank you all for your guidance.
