Default Windows problem

Hi. I have 2005 FX4 F-150. Last couple years my driver window wasn't working properly. I mean it always go down but sometimes refused to go up. Last few months was even worse. I have to try like 100 times to close it. Then last week stopped going up at all. and also passenger window stopped working at all. Funny thing is that driver window stopped working in my older 1999 model. I never fixed it tho.. You would think that with new model they fixed the problem…. Did anybody experienced something like this? If yes, then help me please. Any solution to fix that? Thanks. ART.

Sounds like a bad switch or connection to the motor. Pop out the switch cluster and clean up the connections as a start.

Turn your interior lights on and operate the switch, if the lights dim your window motor is bad, if no dim then there is an open circuit somewhere. Rubber boot between door and body is a common area for wiring issues.
