I’m looking to get my Magnetic 2018 XLT Sport tinted. Anyone got and pictures of theirs with tint and what percentage they are tinted? Trying to decide how dark to go.
I went with 35% because that is the legal limit in this state. It's a little lighter than the stock tint on the rear windows, but looks better than no tint on the fronts. I also have a 5% brow on the windshield.
I have 20% on the front windows as it matches the factory tint on the back. Still allows good night time visibility and shade/privacy during the day. I do regret not getting a brow as mentioned above because the factory has little to no tinting at the top of the windshield. I’d highly recommend that if you are ok with how they look.
I think it really depends on you and what state you live. If you want it to look even do 20% on the sides, but if you live in a state where cops are a P.I.T.A. about tint stay legal. I went 20 on the front sides, 20 on the back window over the factory tint, 55 over the whole windshield, and 5 on the top strip. The 55 on the windshield is illegal, but does greatly reduce headlight glare at night. But, that's just me.
Kept it legal for WA, very happy w performance. Xpel prime XR which is a ceramic product, great for reducing heat from sunlight. 35% front, 55% rear 3 windows over privacy glass.
