Why resonators now?

Are you using your OEM resonator, or the one Borla supplies with the complete system?

Perhaps it has something to do with this. Just for comparison sake, then engine is 1996, now engine is 2013.

On the Mustang there is no resonator, it's just an axle back with the mufflers.

Quite a difference between the 2 5.0s, we've come a long way.
Robert, are you saying because of the newer engine designs, is why we now pretty much have resonators?

Considering there's over twice as many rotating components it's a good possibility certain frequencies are being emitted with the newer designs. I'm no engineer but that's my guess.

Mine's a 4.6

Possibly the 5.0 creates some different exhaust frequencies, then.
