Actually it's a 1965. You can tell by the two vents right by the upper part of the door. The 65 had these vents the 66 didn't.

Those vette guys are in their own universe. I used to work with a guy that restored vettes. in 1982, He actually flew in the assembly line guy that initialed the right floorpan(bottom side) on the '62 he was restoring, to do it over just so it would be correct when it was finished. Yikes!

Wow!! Im a corvette guy but could never imagine doing that!!(I also didn't know those initials were there so i guess I'm not THAT much of a Corvette guy)

Honestly i would've kept it the same with the mess up if i was going for a 100% correct restoration, he's already destroying originality at that point even if it was the original guy who installed it.
