Default muffler bad?

Has anyone with a 2009 F150 had the fiberglass insulation start coming out of the exhaust pipe in long gray strands? If so, is it going to cause me any problems? I know I'll need a new muffler, but is it ok to drive for a while?

The stock muffler still looked and sounded fine. But I figured it shouldn't have just blown out all that fiberglass. So I replaced the stock muffler with a stainless steel Flowmaster 40 series. It is a single pipe in and a double pipe out giving me dual exhaust. I had the two stainless tailpipes bent to match the factory pipe. No "chrome" tailpipe end pieces. That would have made it look like I just wanted everyone to notice them. Both exit the truck right behind each wheel well. It looks like it was a factory stock setup and sounds terrific. Plus it's all stainless and should last for many years.
