I just spent 4 months comparing the 2 especially the Lariat vs the Laramie trim levels. I found the Ram was more expensive in the end.
I'm currently comparing 2017 F250 Platinum to 2500HD Denali. I'm looking at another truck for towing and the prices are comparable...+/- 1-2k.

Its only when I drop the Duramax diesel into the Denali it jumps 8k...but it does have a lot of torque. The F250 is nice inside but whoever designed the exterior (front end) must have been on crack with limited vision because it is butt ugly.

Check out how the ACC, BLIS, 360 camera view, and rear HVAC vent features work on the Denali!

Cummins only supplies Dodge and Nissan with diesel truck engines. GM uses the Duramax.

When did GMC start offering a Cummins diesel?

I did pretty much the same thing and the F150 came out clearly better dollar for dollar. I did like the Ram air-ride suspension and something Ford should consider in the future.

Is your question why a Ram is cheaper? If so, do you have something more specific than an anecdote and your feelings?
Why do you always have a negative thing to say?...

You dont see as many because they dont sell as many.

I had a 13 2500 Cummins. Nice truck. Style is definitely looking dated.

when it comes to rams, you either have a Cummins, or you settled for a 1500. I feel like if I had a 1500 ram, someone would eventually come up to me and be like:

"hey man sweet Cummins!"
"oh its just a 1500"
"oh, um, cool....."

Question: How do you double the price of a RAM??

Answer: Fill it with gas !!

Sorry, if that offends anyone. I just thought it was/is funny.

Have owned a Dodge in the past. It had MAJOR transmission problems, and the gas mileage was terrible.

However, it did ride good...............................

I've posted this before, but maybe this is why "Ram's" are cheaper;
