Default Why are dodges a lot cheaper.

Why do similar equipped dodges seem to run thousands cheaper then F150’s. Have a friend who just bought a dodger similar to my his was like 6 k cheaper and I know I got a fair deal. I guess rebates? But dodges just freel cheap to me ,but that jut my opinion . It just seaeems that ford trucks have skyrocketed in the last few years.

Because nobody would buy a 1/2 ton Dodge if they were the same price as a Ford.

First, it’s not a dodge, it’s a Ram. Before you say I’m splitting hairs, this happened 8 years ago. It was done with several changes to upper level management create real separation between the brands. They are separate, discrete, different.

Is your question why a Ram is cheaper? If so, do you have something more specific than an anecdote and your feelings?

Because it is a 10 yr old truck at the end of its life cycle. It is the same truck that debuted in 2009 with a mid cycle refresh and 8 speed in 2013. 2019 is a brand new full redesign for the Ram 1500.

I think if you compare trim levels you will find they are pretty close. You can't just say Ford 1/2 ton vs Ram or Chevy.
I just spent 4 months comparing the 2 especially the Lariat vs the Laramie trim levels. I found the Ram was more expensive in the end.

Because they don't last as long. How many 20 year old Rams do you see compared to Fords?

I was going to start a thread like this a few months back, when my best bud bought a 2017 RAM.. He paid $43K! I "Built" his truck on their site and the price was accurate! I've got an XLT that was (Sticker) +$51K.

His has leather seats, heated and cooled front and rear seats, heated steering wheel, and a bunch more that I would expect on a KR+. Really weird the price difference.

Because Ram doesn't sell as many as Ford F150s. Ford has a loyal following of buyers and demand so they can jack the price up and sell F150s for more than their competitors trucks...whats something worth? what someone is willing to pay for it. Since the 2015 Ford model year came out the prices have taken and unrealistic jump.

Ram trucks have one of the nicest quality interiors of all full sized trucks. I haven't heard a lot of negative reads on the hemi engine and from what Ive seen its decent on power and gas mileage.

You'll see more Fords because there initially were more Fords...you'll see more of what there is more of on the street.
