Why are dodges a lot cheaper.

One thing to keep in mind with crash rating. The original requirement was 30 mph into a flat barrier. Then that started doing 35 mph just to see if they could pass. They didn’t have to. I always remember Mercedes didn’t do well but Mercedes said they did well in real world tests. The flat barriers encourage a softer front end to absorb the impact.
Fast forward to today. They decided maybe Mercedes’s had it correct. People don’t crash into flat walls. So they came up wth the offset tests. Then it was the narrow offset. These test encourage a stiffer front end. In other words all these different tests result in a moving target for the makers.

Don't know about, just don't have a head on collision in a Challenger. You might not be killed, but you probably will never walk again. Destroys the driver floorboard in this test, had to forcefully pull the dummy out. you can see how the damage was caused.
Appears the Camaro is the one who took the beating. Far worse than the Challenger.

As much as I love my ram, while I wouldnt call it ugly, I will say of the big 3, it is the least visually appealing to me. For me, the Sierra is the best looking of the bunch (and I'm including all of them in that, and Chevy too, not just the big 3). I love the boxier look of the GMC. the Ram is too rounded and the lines are too soft for a truck, in my opinion. That is, however, the only category it doesnt lead the pack, for me (except for not having HIDs stock, GMC wins there).

To be honest, they all look pretty bad in the IIHS crash test.
The ram did look a bit more mangled than the others. (that was a quad cab, no crew in the test)
Look at how the bed shoved up into the supercab in the F150 (no crew in the test).
Actually the Chevy looks like it might have survived more than any. (the only one that showed Double and Crew cabs)
the timing and angles were at slightly different times in each picture.

It's not the looks that give the crash ratings, the its survivability of the occupants. The vehicle can be completely decimated and get a 5* rating if the occupants are uninjured, or have minimal injuries. It really doesn't matter how mangled up they get in these types of crashes, they will more than likely be totaled anyway.
Walked away from this one. If I had passengers, they would have as well.

Ford keeps raising the price and people keep paying it. So, there you have it! If someone wants to pay north of 60k on a 1500 series truck, they’ll keep selling them at that price.
I was taught as a young man, things are only worth what someone is willing to pay for them. Want to stop prices from rising? Stop paying. lol
