I've owned them all, and we lease where I work and we have two Rams currently. Truth is they are all good trucks and I think they are fairly close in price. I've heard the payload problems with the Rams. I am a land surveyor and we carry a lot of stuff. I ran one across the scales, and I was shocked. It was not any where near overlaoded. We probably had a 1000 lbs of payload left. This is a quad cab 4x4 V6, base model, so its pretty light. I know when you get into a lot of options, things go south in a hurry. The **** shifter, it sucks. I've finally adjusted to it but it took me 6 months. I wouldn't consider a half ton Ram because of it.

I've had a couple of rusty vehicles so I tend to notice them. They all rust, Ford, Chevy and Dodge. None seem worse then another. That was the main reason I went with Ford, I figure the aluminum won't rust.

Hemi heads flow well. The valves are oppisite each other in the cylinder head which lets them be larger. The 392 engines in the Challengers are proof they can make good power, let alone when you get into Hellcats or Demons.

I know this thread is about Ram..but knowing how I feel about FCA, my kid bought a Challenger all decked out...was afraid to tell me about it for 2 months had no clue he owned it. Went over the weekend and asked to see it...lol, been in the shop for over a week. He said they can't find electrical Gremlins and are gonna replace most everything
In all fairness, I never listened to my dad when I should have

Hard to compare a ram to a challenger quality wise.

Honestly, I never knew why the Challengers were so popular. they got one of the worst crash ratings of any car.

Have you seen the abysmal payload and tow ratings for the Ram?

My ***** are fine and weren't busted by your comment, as I was talking about the Challenger in my statement.

To be honest, they all look pretty bad in the IIHS crash test.

The ram did look a bit more mangled than the others. (that was a quad cab, no crew in the test)

Look at how the bed shoved up into the supercab in the F150 (no crew in the test).

Actually the Chevy looks like it might have survived more than any. (the only one that showed Double and Crew cabs)

the timing and angles were at slightly different times in each picture.

Let's be honest nobody buys a car based on crash ratings. We should, but we don't.

Not really on a truck anyway.

Almost like who buys a truck and worries about gas mileage, right?
