Why the black outside mirrors in all the Laraits ?

I do my research before I go in and see what my trade in value is and then have a figure in my mind what I'm willing to pay for the difference between the trade in value and the price of the truck I'm interested in. I'm just interested in the OTD (Out the Door) price and really not too concerned how everything is broken down. If that figure I have come up with for the OTD price can't be met then no deal. I have walked out a few times over the years, but usually have had my OTD price met as I try to be fair with the dealership as well as myself.

Are you looking at Lariats with tow mirrors?
I thought Lariats with the Sport pkg, had painted mirror caps and Lariats with the chrome pkg. had chrome mirror caps, unless equipped with tow mirrors,

I know the 2019 Lariat with either Sport or Special Edition package have painted caps.

I normally check KBB, NADA, Edmunds, Black book for trade in values. My OTD price I come up with includes all dealer fees such as Doc Fee and any state taxes etc. (Idaho 6%). I don't go by MSRP but check similar equipped vehicles on different dealer and online sites such as Cars.com what they are listed for including any rebates by Ford and then go from there in determining what I'm willing to pay. Not an exact science, but it has worked for me over the years.

My 13 doesn’t have tow mirrors but the caps are chrome as are the door handles and look st the above pics ,,, they are chrome and NOT the tow mirrors

I guess it’s all how they are ordered ?? I wouldn’t mind painted to match the truck, but IF the mirrors are just BLACK plastic on say a white truck ,,, nope ! Too work truck looking,,, not on a Lariat or KR
