Is new here. But lives in St.Louis, an what minimal snow we have had. Seen more 4x4/awd in the ditches. Its the driver. My neighbor has a lifted to the sky (unnamed make,) with 24's an low profile tires. He couldnt make it out the driveway. Jus saying

We had snow yesterday and overnight so the roads are all snow and drift covered. I saw 3 4WD trucks in the ditches buried past the bumpers. I just tooled by them in my lil ol 2WD truck, smiling all the way to work. A good set of tires on a 2WD can always do better than a 4WD without them.
