OK, "my" truck finally arrived at the dealership - taking 3 days shy of 4 months from the order date. This afternoon I do the paperwork and get the spray in liner and window tint with "eyebrow" scheduled.

The '16 Escape 2.0L Titanium will be prettied up and run by CarMax later this week. It was a fast, nimble, fun to drive vehicle, but the seats are too narrow and the vehicle just too small as compared to all the full size SUVs and trucks in the Great State of Texas!

Glad you're getting yours, but the "3 days shy of 4 months" is from day of order which was well before they started making them, right?

Absolutely correct. The wait is partially due to ordering before production actually started, and the hold up due to the retro fit of the 3.5s. "My" truck had an 11/15 build date and normally would have hit the local dealer by 11/25.

In spite of how it sounds, I'm really not complaining. Just anxious to get it in my driveway and the '16 Escape it replaces in someone elses........

Is it typical that it takes about 10 days from build to delivery? That is far faster than I expected actually, but gives me hope...

I've ordered 6 new Fords in the last 14 years. Excluding the current F150, 4 of them hit the dealer within 15 days from the build date. A 2016 Escape would have made it in that time frame but sadly ended up on a rail car that had to be sidetracked with a bad axle. I got that one in just over 3 weeks time.

Wow, I did all the paperwork yesterday afternoon, and the 2017 is getting a bed liner and window tint today. I'll pick it up in the morning........... Gotta say, this XLT supercab sport in ingot silver looks pretty darn nice. That said, next to it was a newly arrived Raptor (ordered of course) and it was totally the neatest new truck I've ever seen!
