Default When does the powertrain warranty expire

I've done searches and can't find the answer. My truck built on 10/12 per carfax was taken ownership in 12/12 even though it's listed as a 2013 so do I only have 2 months left on the powertrain warranty since the closest answer I see here is that the warranty kicks in not on build date but when dealer/personal ownership was taken. Just so I know so I can start pricing out ESP's or do I have another year.

So in my case per the carfax and dealer entry it's 12/26/2012 as this appears to be when first ownership occurred. So I need to start looking for a new ESP

Powertrain warranty is 5yr/60,000 miles, base warranty is 3yr/36,000 miles. Beginning the day you bought it.

My understanding is that you can buy an ESP during the first 3 years and 36,000 miles. Yes, your Powertrain warranty is about to end, but I don't know that you can buy an ESP for the Powertrain at this point. I checked Flood Ford's site and it says 41 months or 41,000 miles. You're past the months regardless, so you no longer can buy one.

Warranty starts on the day you get it from the Dealership. You can't buy an extended warranty after the period is expired.

Call your dealership or Ford, they will know with the Vin #.

I thought people here buy esp's all the time for vehicles even older than mine ie from Ziegler ford. Don't esp's cover powertrain and bumper to bumper depending on the ESP?

Isn't an ESP like from Ziegler basically an extended warranty of sorts? I thought I hat it understood that's why people here buy esp's to further cover their vehicle when the existing warranty is over ane if I'm not mistaken the ESP bread here people mention buying esp's for trucks even older than mine. Color me confused at this point.

Your vehicle must be under its original warranty to purchase an ESP plan. This said, I don't know if it's the basic warranty or the powertrain one...

Give a call to Flood Ford ESP or Zeigler, they will tell you right away!
