Default Chopped tire question

Have a 2011 fx4 and the tires are chopped on the inner and outer edge of the tires they have 8100 miles on them I am religious with air pressure and rotation. What would cause this the truck is starting to shake bad and I'm trying to get ford to replace them but in the meantime what causes this ? these are Goodyear wrangler sr-a ? Is this a common problem with good year?

Since you are maintaining proper tire pressue and doing tire rotation, the only thing left in the equation is alignment. When was the last time you had your alignment checked?

I think that by carrying 2,900 lbs in the bed, you overloaded your F-150 and you could have bent axles, spindles, suspension, etc. If Ford investigates and uncovers your excursion into the "overload" catagory, they might not be so willing to compensate you for tire wear, steering box repairs, etc.

With that kind of load, you need E tires and pressured up to at least 50 psi. Goodyear Wranglers are all over the place on load rating. You need to check your exact tire size and its maximum pressure. Some are only good for 44 psi. Once you run the tires in "overload", the wear pattern starts. Even though the chopping may not be visible after removing the overload, those tires are fubared.

In all honesty I did that for 5 miles and at that point in time the truck had 2100 on it the vibration didn't start until 6k mark and I you look at the tires there copped on the inner and outer edges . Good year made a comment to me that this is a problem in there wrangler line but I don't understand what else is from also my paper work from ford says payload is capacity of 3060lbs

If you truck is properly equipped. Just looked up specs for you truck and your payload is between 1600-1800 lbs depending on options.

I've never seen an F-150 from Ford that has a rated payload of 3060 pounds. That's a new one on me.
