Wheel size change payload?

Wheel size change payload?
Hello, just joined the site and about to order a 2016 F150 Lariat, 4x4, 5.0, Screw, 6.5 bed with chrome package, 3.55 gear (should order by Friday).
First Ford ever, making the switch from GMC.
Going through the brochure, I couldn't figure out the payload. It says 2,100lbs, but I want to upgrade to the 20 inch chrome rims. Does this change the payload rating?
Thanks for any feed back.

As your truck sits it comes with a payload rating.
Every option you put on your track will subtract from the payload.
Steps, bed liner, bed cover could weigh over 100 lbs combined. this would subtract from the payload. Attach a trailer to your truck and the tongue weight of the trailer subtracts from your payload.
So if the new wheels weigh more than the old ones it will subtract from the payload. I doubt the difference in weight would be that much so I wouldn't even worry about it.

That's what I thought, but I got confused when looking at the specs of the HD Payload package.
The same setup with HD Payload specs out with two options:
1. 17 inch rims = 2,430 payload
2. 18 inch rims = 2,660 payload
I would have thought 18 inch rims would weigh more and reduce the payload compared to the 17 inch rims, however option 2 somehow gained 230 pounds of available payload.
That 1 inch rim difference gains significant % of available payload.
I am afraid going from 18 inch to 20 inch could have the opposite effect on my setup and I would then scrap the 20 inch wheels and just keep the stock 18 inch wheels (and the extra cash from removing that option from my build).

Interesting...their "official towing capacity" site makes no mention of 20 inch wheels, only 17 and 18 inch capacities.

You won't know the final payload until you see your truck and examine the sticker on the door jamb.
