Hot and humid here in SE Louisiana...low to mid 90's with heat index temps in the low 100's. Dew point temps in the mid 70's and all you have to do is walk outside and sweat....feels like a sauna!!

Exactly ... we may not be setting records with the temperature readings down here, but our high humidity makes our warmer/hotter weather a killer. At 6:30am you can walk outside, the temp may already be 80F ... and after 5 minutes outside, your clothing feels stuck to you from the moisture in the air.

What's kinda funny is that due to our weather (mainly the humidity and lack of breezes), most of us "professionals" that would normally go to work in a suit and tie don't wear that anymore during the summer if we don't HAVE to ... we go "business casual" ... where most everyone is just wearing slacks and a button down shirt w/ no tie ... we MAY keep a sport coat if we are going to a meeting where it would be appropriate to wear one, but that's still optional most of the time. You'll even see most of us with our sleeve cuffs unbuttoned and rolled up just to help keep cool.
