This summer, ill pull my truck onto my football field and get a good temp reading for yall. Its a turf field with a massive concrete retaining wall that reflects the sun onto the field and creates convection currents that heat up the field.2.5 years ago, the ambient air temperature was 137 degrees. Thats 2 over the world record. It was measured with a car and a thermometer so its accurate. the turf itself was about 195 degrees. this was at like 2ish, but our practices are at 7 and 4 so its cool, like 110.
