Default Whats a good inexspensive code reader?

Hi, I buy vehichles to resell (mostly F150's, but may also do other vehicles) and was wondering if anyone could offer advice on buying a inexspensive code reader? I have heard theres some you can use your smartphone, but when I buy one I just want to make sure Im buying a good one! Thanks in advance...

I went to the local auto parts store and bought one. I think I paid $60 or so for it.

I have an Actron CP 9575. They run about $80 on Ebay. It displays live data which could be helpful when trying to determine a problem.
