What was your previous truck?

I had a '98 Isuzu Hombre (Chevy S10). I bought it new. I really wanted a Ford Ranger but they were too much $. I bought the Hombre because it was priced even less than the S10 by more than $1000 and had more standard options.
Drove her for 230k miles. She was pretty good to me but very happy to be in a Ford F150 now. With a bigger bed and seating for 5, it fits our needs better at this point in our life. Vehicles don't make me truly happy as it is just one more "thing" but I am blessed to have such a nice truck.

2009 Tacoma double cab. It was a good truck but no room in the back seat. If someone sat back there I had to move my seat way forward. Bought a 2011 F150 5.0L. Much more room and power with better highway MPG.

2005 Chevy Colorado 4x4, 4-cyl, 5-speed extended cab. A nondescript truck with little redeeming value, known for having a wider turning circle than any other full size truck, and yes, it's only a midsize. Underpowered, sucked more gas than the 5 cyl, many painfully aggravating 'known issues'. Gave it to my BIL when I got the F150. The Colorado replaced a 99 TRD Taco 6-cyl, 4x4, extended cab. A great truck that I hated to see go. Toyota 'repurchased' it because of a frame rust issue for more than I paid so it was hard to turn down. There are times I wish I still had it. Got a great deal on a XLT crew EB 4x4 6.5 bed so I jumped.
Oh, another thing... the F150 is WAAAAY bigger!

I traded in a Subaru Outback on my F150. Never liked the Outback very much. Mpg was horrible, back seat was tiny, front seats cramped, and by 68k miles, it had seeping headgaskets and worn out suspension. Only had it 15 months, and I was happy to get back into a truck.
Before the Subaru was an '06 Chevy Silverado 2500hd Duramax. That was a great truck -- probably the 'best' vehicle I've owned (although my F150 has potential, I can't give it that title after only 6 weeks!). But we had baby #4, with all 4 in car seats or boosters, and the Silverado didn't have a shoulder belt in the front center, so we couldn't use it for towing our travel trailer for family trips anymore.
So bye-bye Duramax ... we replaced it with a loaded '10 Suburban (which has also been a great vehicle for us), and I got the Subaru to be my daily driver. But it didn't last long ... I missed having a truck! So far, the F150 gets w/in a few mpg of the Subaru (for my uses, at least), has plenty of room, and has been a joy to drive.
