so very true, I will say that my this truck is by far my favorite looking and riding truck I have ever driven. I just need to find a caring dealer which is harder than it should be

Unfortunately that will be a difficult task. I was once a dealer line tech. Have over 35 years experience 11 exclusively at a Ford dealer. The corporate drive that is $$$$ cares less about who takes care of warranty work.

Thus the reason dealers are now staffed with barely out of high school kids that have no clue what they are doing. It's a hard pill to swallow but it is reality.

If you are lucky enough to find a dealer with experienced techs, hold on for dear life!!!

In the mean time you might find some info over on www.flatratetech.com in the forum section. They have a lot of experience in all aspects of automotive repair for all makes.

Had a Silverado a while back (5-6yrs) and when I leased that truck the dealer walked me around and introduced me to everyone in the service department (techs included) it was a very nice touch to see what goes on behind the scenes.

Guess you might be better off in a truck with a bow tie on the grill? I mean if that's your train of thought. You can't compare Chevy to Ford or Hyundai or Toyota, Dodge.

What gives? What's the thinking here?

all im saying is, it would be nice to find a ford dealer near me like that. Each dealership is unique no matter the brand. Being kind and courteous go a long way in the overall customer experience. I’m searching harder than I feel I should to find a ford dealer near me that genuinely wants to help, heck I would settle for just plain nice. Despite all my problems I have encountered and they are numerous, I still am trying to stay with ford but they don’t want to give me the same level loyalty.

Yeah I get that, it sucks don't it? That's one of the reasons I left the dealer 15 years ago. Corporate don't give a sh** about anything but the bottom $$.

That Ford dealership the way they treated you or Ford corporate probably won't give a sh^& but might be a feel good for you.
Contacting a lawfirm that specializes in this is free of charge and they will tell you if you have a case or not. If anything, you would get something back in the end. I went through it myself, got $7500 to use towards a replacement. In your case you may get back enough to put down on something other than a Ford. Most that I have found have a contact page to put your information and issues in and send it in, and they get back the next work day. I never had to visit them, just talk on the phone for the initial case, and handled the rest via email.

OPer, the truck is leased and not owned by you with only 8 more 'rental' payments to go.
Yep, if if had those issues with a vehicle i 'bought' i'd be royally pissed but thats not the case here.

Hate to say this but in this day and age there is rarely such a thing as customer loyalty
Its all about business/profits/stock price/corporate greed.....make the bucks as big and fast as 'they' can.
Unfortunately when an issue results in most company's products, its the very aggressively pursued squeaky wheel that 'might' get the grease..so to speak.

I've driven Chrysler products just about all my life starting with my 1st car a '57 Plymouth.
My loyalty to Chrysler now FCA took a significant twist when i bought my F150.
And so far i'm glad i didn't buy the RAM at the time.
IMO, loyalty to a specific company's products these days is gone with the wind. Think auto insurance when there's a problem.

OP, sounds like you may be around the Duhtroit area? My wife lives down there, and has an '18 Escape. I'd hate to start having troubles like you and be up here.
What are the names of these dealers so hopefully her car won't wind up with one of them.
