Why? Because I suddenly might feel the need to.

Then, I'm sure you meant to say it's the first you legitimately got it.

I thought this forum was a collective group of truck enthusiasts who shared and spread knowledge to on another so the community as a united whole could be informed, but apparently it's not, or at least the people who have responded here , not all of you, are just looking for an excuse to be an *** like your on a Facebook post trolling. That being said, I normally turn here for information because I've gotten good advice, and given advice here in the past. However, because everyone feels victimized by my OP, or that their feelings are being hurt ( wow it really is like facebook). I'll answer my own question so all of you know in the future . Since I had to elsewhere for a straight answer.
Benefits of a lowered vehicle include :
Improved aerodynamics. When the vehicle sits closer to the ground, it means there is less air going underneath the vehicle, which in turn means less wind drag on the car.

Improved handling and traction. Generally speaking, lowering the vehicle closer to the ground improves the tires’ grip on the road, leading to improved handling. But this is not true across the board, as lowering the suspension on some vehicles may actually impair handling.

Reduced risk of rollover. A high center of gravity is a liability for any vehicle, giving it a higher risk of rollover. Lowering the suspension lowers the center of gravity and reduces the risk of a rollover.

All legitimate reasons I suppose but sometimes it's just cause some one wants to. No other reason and equally viable.

I'll be honest, you got a lot of shade because your question was rhetorical as hell. I think once you realized it wasn't going over well, you tried to come off like it was a legitimate question. I would argue that if it was in fact a true question, you would have asked your buddy who lowers trucks for a living. At least that's what I think most people would have done.

I guess it could be answered with a question.
Why do they make trucks so much taller than cars? It doesn't serve a purpose, they can still haul stuff in the bed, they can still tow, they can still go across the field to get to the fishing hole.

I've had both and while I am in a leveled truck now I will again have one that is lowered; a mid 80's Chevy (now I'll put on my fire suit).
