The others are the people that document their lifted build on Instagram and post everything, yet there's never a picture offroad. Now clearly those aren't everyone, but I'd say for the most part people that lift their trucks do it just for appearance. Which there's nothing wrong with either if that's what you want to do with your money. Mine is leveled to clear bigger tires, and I've got MT's. It sees off-road stuff on occasion, but not real often especially since I'm around 45 minutes from the beach now instead on 20.
Lifted mine because I live at sea level and a lot of places where I go is below sea level and Ford's brilliant engineers decided the best place on the engine to put the alternator is on the bottom most part of the engine. If the water rises as it has in the past, I'm ready for it. Plus I like the way it looks and If the opportunity presents itself to go off road I'm covered there as well but I won't go looking for it.

Speaking of which, how do some of you know when trucks never go off road or never haul anything? Are you stalking? Or just assuming? Are you a creep, an *** or Miss Cleo?
None of the above....we have a small clique at work with chebbies with 6" lifts...

In large part because of the way they drive in the parking lot, we now have speed bumps installed. After installing the speed bumps, they complained to management that they speed bumps were going to wreck their suspensions and tires (Lifted with 40 series tires....wtf?)

If they're whining about the speedbumps, they're not going offroad.

Whats the point of a very lifted truck with a ladder rack where you need a damned ladder to reach the damned ladders? I see a construction company lifted truck with at least a 6" lift, the ladders are 9 feet in the air! Lifted, OK, fine, offroad I get it, but a construction company truck? That just looks dumb.

What do the lowered truck owners complain about, ripping their exhaust off over those little bumps ?

They go around them, or park in the one part of the lot that doesn't have them. (No one's truck is THAT low...LOL)
