What is the point of lowering trucks?!
#41
And for the record, I've had people on here trash my truck, and I couldn't care less. Someone told me (of my purpose-built off-road truck) that my 18" wheels with high sidewalls looked "terrible" (exact quote) and that I should replace my wheels with 22" deep dish rims and super low-profile tires. Haha, I coulda dug into him, but hey, to each his own... All good.

I don't care for super lifted, or super lowered, just my taste. But I can appreciate the work put into either. And a guy has a right to be proud of his accomplishments to a point, but when they go off saying they, just can't understand and trash what others do, the line has been crossed.
Relax, throw some humor in here, by next week it'll all be history. Hmm, we all know history repeats itself.

I have a buddy who lowers and builds lowered trucks and has a shop dedicated to just that. WHY?
"Why is the sky blue? Why is the grass green? How does posi-trak on a Plymouth work?
Everybody has their own taste and view of what they like and what looks good to them. I like lifted, lowered and stock trucks and happy we are all not driving around in the same exact trucks.

All I know is that if I did ever watch the Jerry S show I wouldn't admit to it.

When I got this '17, the very first thing I did was tear off the "Thport 4times4" sticker, and any other thing that wouldn't leave a hole. Shortly after, I lowered the rear, and raised the front to level.
One day it was nice out, truck was clean, and I headed for the supermarket in the neighboring ville.
Came walking back out to the truck, and one of the local meth heads was looking at my truck. First words out of his drug stuporred mouth was, "Only an idiot would buy a two wheel drive". I really was at a loss for words there. Don't recall what, if anything, I said. Just watched him slime his way into his typical northern Michigan beater, no doubt the most expensive thing he owned. Puts me in mind of this thread.

Seems on one show, he mentioned Darwins theory. The look on the guests faces, and the silence was priceless.
