Quite a few of the lifted trucks I see on the roads around here never go off pavement, much less off road.

Sure, if you want bigger tires/more ground clearance for off roading you need to lift. But let's be honest. Most suspension mods are done for looks.

And I'm in the "do what you want with your truck" camp. If you like it, do it. No reason to judge people for what they like or don't like.

What difference does it make to you? How are you affected in any way? Why do you care what other people do with their trucks?

I've seen some really good looking lifted and lowered trucks but the ones that are all but dragging the chassis on the ground don't make too much sense to me and IMO doesn't really look that great. If you're the owner and you like it I guess that's all that really counts.

It's a known fact that people who live close to swampy land are ugly. Genetics.

You mad bro? It's my opinion that from what I have witnessed most people put on lifts for looks, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that, you got too high strung on this for some reason.

I'm in this camp...to each their own.

Frankly, I don't care for how trucks look once you go more than a few inches lower or higher than stock...but it doesn't bother me.
I also don't like squash or eggplant...but I'm not going to start a thread to go off about it and I certainly don't mind that other people like squash and eggplant.

Lowering reduces center of gravity and body roll creating a better handling vehicle. Easier access to the bed, easier to get in and out of. You don't see lowered trucks with the side of the drivers seat worn through from sliding out. They fit in parking garages at hotels, underground parkades and garages at home. Easier to work in the engine bay, scrape ice off the windshield. Shall I go on?
