Default What Offset/backspace do i need??

I have a stock height 03 F-150 Ext Cab 6ft bed. I'm trying to figure out what offset/backspace rim I need to get my tires to stick out a little further. I am eventually lifting the truck 4" so I want to make sure whatever I get is going to work properly with the lift. PLEASE...SOMEONE HELP!

The best way to calculate what offset you want is to decide how much more tire you want to see, pull a wheel off the truck, straight edge the back of rim and measure to the face of the center of the wheel. Add your desired additional tire exposure to that number and you have the offset needed. 3.5 to 5 inches is average. Even changing the width or size of the rim won't change that number.
