Default Biggest tire for 20x9 wheel? Any bigger than 305?

So I currently have 20x9 MKW wheels for my truck. Once these tires go, I want to go wider. I currently have Nitto Crosstek, 275's on there. Want to go the widest I can for that wheel. Just curious what people have squeezed on safely. Pictures would be great too if you have them. Thanks!

Depends on the overall height of the tire too.

305 looks to be wide for a 33" tire, but you need to go to the manufacturer website and they will specify the measured rim width for each tire size they sell.

They also have the recommended width of the wheel that will give the optimal performance.

Check down there for Nitto tires. In the () is the recommended width. The other numbers are the minimum and maximum allowed.
