Default What is My GCWR???

Hello all, first time here, first 3 days with a truck

I have a 2017 f150 XLT, 3.6-L V6 Ecoboost, 2x4, Super Crew, 145"Wb, 3.55 Elect Lock RR Axel, Trailer Tow Package.

I cannot figure out the GCWR.. In the manual, I bump into a value of 17,000lbs but with the condition of having the MAX Trailer Tow Package. Which I do not think I have. There is no other option. What is my GCWR then???

That same dilemma carries onto trying to figure out the Max trailer Weight using Ford's Table... I can find the column and the Motor section, but then which row? 16,900(9) is for limited models, mine is XLT. And again 17,000(7) requieres for MAX trailer tow package... So then what am I? A Dash? lol...

Thank you.

Are you the 3.5L Ecoboost, or the 3.5L non-turbo V6? Makes a difference!

do you have the 36g fuel tank, and did your truck come with the trailer brake controller?

Yes to both. Attached is the window sticker with all the options. See that it does not say MAX tow package. So, I do not think I have the Engine oil cooling, aux transmission oil cooler, nor upgraded bumper...

Here's an excerpt from the 2017 F150 towing guide. I appears you do not have the Max tow package. Window sticker would say max tow package and you wouldn't have been charged extra for the fuel tank, brake controller and 3.55s.

I appears the only thing you don't have is the upgraded bumper, which is really an upgraded receiver hitch. I think the "upgraded axle" just means the 3.55s 9.75" that come standard with the max tow.

It looks like you have the 53A package. Just open the hood to see if the transmission oil cooler is there in front of radiator. It doesn't really matter much. What's your payload? It's highly unlikely that you could load up to a 17,000 lb. GCWR without exceeding the GVWR or rear axle GAWR.

I understand and agree that I do not have the Max package. I am just trying to know then what is my GCWR... Fords tables take me nowhere, as if they never considered/expected my configuration.

GVWR is 6750
Rear GVWR is 3800
Front GVWR is 3225

Thank you.

IMHO with a 6750 GVWR don't spend too much time looking for a GCVWR specification. you seem to be correct that it's not listed in Ford's lit. It's a number you likely won't approach and with remain within your axle and 6750 pound GVWR. Like ATWOWHEELGUY stated, these specification are likley to be your limiting specs.

If you share the payload number located on your driver's side rear door, and the approximate weight of passengers + gear, we could guide you to an estimated max trailer weight. The payload is on the sticker with the yellow color behind the wording "TIRE AND LOADING INFORMATION".
