Not required. Just what I'm used to and it makes me feel better. Probably go straight synthetic at 5k.

The only way to do it right...
100 miles
Then at 200 miles
Then at 500 miles
Then at 750 miles
Then at 1000 miles
Then at 1500 miles
Then at 2000 miles
Then at 3000 miles
Then at 5000
Then at 10000
Or just use the oil life monitor. That's what I do.
Did mine at 3500 (Full Syn) because I'm going on a trip. Going to stay with FS from this point forward. First vehicle I've owned in many years that recommends Syn Blend, which, will
probably work fine but I'd just as soon stay with FS. I'll use a 6K interval and keep an eye on the % indicator just for reference.
