I didn't find that our escalade had any better quality than my ford does...I don't see what people pay $80k for, but it's their money.

I've been a Chevy guy most of my life. There's an '03 Z06 in the garage next to it. I was given a 2011 XLT For work, and I have been so impressed I started looking for a 150 this spring. I found a '12 left over with almost 10k in discounts and bit the bullet. No regrets.

Another thing that sold me on the Fords was when my brother got an '05 FX4 Supercab with 120,000 miles on it. He put 40k hard driven, malnourished miles on it. That truck rode, drove and felt nicer than the 09 Silverado with 15k I was driving at the time. The Chevy had rattles everywhere, it was constantly in the shop and felt less refined than the FX4. The Ford had a nicer steering feel and a much nicer interior. The FX4 came with every Ford service record that was ever done on it and it had only TSB's and recalls done, absolutely no warranty work.
That FX4 ended up being my truck for a while after my Chev had the fire. I drove it for about 10k miles before the truck started having transmission issues (probably from the lack of maintenance in the time he was driving it) and decided it was in my best interest to get a new truck. The Ecoboost FX4 I have now is awesome, but that 05 was the truck that sold me on Fords and I actually miss it's awesome reliability.

Personally I would never buy a CTS-V. I have issues paying $70k for a car with the same cheap(my opinion) interior as the $35k car.... But that's just me. I would rather sink my money in a nice 1 year old Audi S6 or a new Audi RS5. But I'm a Euro-nut so don't mind me...
