Bought my first ford product in 2008. A Lincoln Mkz. Liked it so much bought the mkx for my wife a few months later. Had been a GM person mostly before that. These were the best 2 cars I have owned. (Just turned 50) so have had a few cars. Decided this year we need a truck and I wouldn't buy any other brand than a Ford now. I just like the look better than the others. Plus the great experience with the 2 Lincoln's. Plus I won't buy a car from GM or dodge since they got relief from the government. I use the Mkz for business. It has 215,000 miles on it. Only thing I have replaced is tires and front wheel bearing. Best car I have had. The new FX4 may change my mind on best car I have ever had though. They are a very nice truck. Won't buy another brand ever again.

My family has been Ford since I was young, was hauled home in a 67 Galaxy after birth, driven to school in 71 Stang, drove an 87 Ranger to high school.

Been Ford all my life, I know them and love them. I have owned and driven other brands and just have not been impressed with them all that much.

I am the black sheep of the family because we are a Chevy/Dodge family. I was surrounded by GM products for most of my life but my dad had one friend that was a dyed in the wool Ford fanatic. I remember him buying a brand new 1978 Ford F150 Ranger Explorer and the second I sat in that truck at the tender age of 7 I was bitten. I have owned many Fords(mostly Mustangs) but I've had a few trucks and I have always loved them. I have also owned a few Dodges and Chevrolets but I always come back to Ford.

In 1961 dad came home with a early Ford business coupe he and my uncle cut it down and used it like a truck for the next couple years I was about 6 then. In 65 he came home with a new F100 then again in 67. In 1974 Mom and Dad gave it to me. Had a 352 and 3 on the tree.
I repainted it black and added a Hurst shifter and a 4 barrel intake and a 650 Holley lifted it some and added white spokes and big tires.
Since then
1954 short bed with a 289 Hi Po auto
1959 short bed with 352 interceptor auto
1960 short bed with 312 4 spd granny
1972 Ranchero
1986 F250 4x4 351
1990 ranger 4.0
1994 ranger 4.0
1995 F150 4X4 this is now my current project as some of the others were either daily drivers or turned into unfinished projects. I've always been comfortable working on Fords and usually seem to understand what makes them tick.

At my time of purchase, it was the best pickup you could buy.

2 friends a father and son had one each outside of work, one die hard Ford guy at work. Had many questions answered there. Drove a 14 hemi and F150, body lines and features of the Ford one out for me. Never having owned a US V8 truck, and wanting to go auto instead of manual (no choice of course), I think I made the right decision and am very happy so far.

I was a die hard Chevy guy, really just more of an anti Ford guy. I wouldn't even test drive a Ford. But my last 2 Chevys made me walk too many times, besides the round peg square hole thing is hideous. The Dodge felt cheap, and the back seat in a crew was no larger than an extra cab. I didn't like the Toyota and wouldn't be caught dead in a Nissan. So I thought I'd check out the Ford. HOLY ****, I've been a friggin dumbass! One 13' 5.0 Screw later and I couldn't be happier. Why didn't I give Ford a shot sooner? Comfort, looks, power and 20k miles down without a hiccup. Besides mpg is sitting at 19.4. This is by FAR the best vehicle I have ever owned. I'll give you one guess what my next vehicle is going to be.
